The shooting lodge and catering are the Stephen Quinn. Altcar on a windy day beats any where else in this country. My son in law runs a shoot in Cumbria and after a boundary day said that's what shooting should be like.

I have shot at Altcar half a dozen times over the past 2 seasons and have always had a great day. They are able to produce extremely fast partridges particularly when the wind blows getting the birds up from some distance away so they come over the guns like bullets. There is always plenty of birds about so 'getting the bag' is never a worry.

The day is run by the experienced Sam Bell I have shot at Altcar many times and have always had superb sport. I have had the pleasure of shooting on the Bickerstaffe shoot for a few seasons now; the drives offer sporting birds in a good variety and mixture of settings.
