Students will be immersed in classic and contemporary research in order to acquire skills in areas of personnel selection, employee motivation, training and development, performance management and evaluation, and organizational change and development.

Their program prepares students for doctoral level training, as well as employment in a variety of organizational settings. This is a two-year full-time program.

Students in the Industrial-Organizational track complete a 6 credit, Plan B Research Project, which involves conducting an empirical research project, applied research project, or meta-analysis under the direction of a faculty advisor. The Department of Psychology at the University of South Florida is committed to furthering our understanding of behavior and mental processes by utilizing the methods of science in both basic and applied research. They seek to train graduate students as independent scholars as they affiliate with one or more of the broad spectrum of research programs carried out by our faculty.
